About Us
To all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. John 1:12NIV
We are the Connecticut Mar Thoma Congregation under the Diocese of North America and Europe of the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian church. The basis of our liturgies is used by all Malankara Syrian Christian Churches of Eastern origin. The Mar Thoma Church is Eastern in worship, Episcopal in tradition, democratic in administration and ecumenical in vision. It’s Biblical emphasis, evangelical outlook, missionary zeal, theological concerns and social commitments are some other salient features of the Church.
Initiated and blessed by our bishop Rt Rev Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius Episcopa on April 27, 2014, we now regularly celebrate Holy Qurbana and conduct Sunday School for our kids. Rev Sam T Panicker, Vicar from Carmel Mar Thoma Church Boston has been supporting and leading the Congregation activities in Connecticut. We cater to all Marthomites and associated members in the state of Connecticut. We started as a small prayer group in early 2000 as an extension of Boston Mar Thoma Church, and now, we regularly celebrate Holy Qurbana service since 2014. We are a growing congregation and in the process of forming the Connecticut Mar Thoma parish. We rent a church facility in Southington, a central location in CT for our worship service.
The goal and function adopted by the Mar Thoma church is:

The goal and function adopted by the Mar Thoma church is:
- To be the repository of the divine doctrines revealed by Jesus Christ and proclaimed by His Apostles
- To maintain these doctrines in their purity.
- To promote the spiritual life of its members through the administration of sacraments and by the ministry of the WORD.
-
To make disciples of all nations by the
proclamation of the Gospel to all the world, and through the administration of
Holy Baptism in the name of True God.
