Rev. Christopher Phil Daniel & Mrs. Neethi Prasad
Rev. Christopher Phil Daniel has been serving as the Vicar of Jerusalem Mar Thoma Church, CT, since May 1, 2021. Achen was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, and is a member of the Mar Thoma Church of Dallas Farmers Branch. In addition to being the Vicar of the parish, Achen is serving as the Program Manager of the Diocese, the Coordinator for the Mar Thoma Mission Board, and a Diocesan Council member.
Achen was ordained in 2012 after completing theological studies at the Mar Thoma Theological Seminary in Kottayam. Achen has served as the Vicar of St. Paul’s MTC Kattickalaruvi (Ranni), Christos MTC Thonnikadavu (Ranni), St. Stephen’s MTC (New Jersey), Bethel MTC (Frankfort, IL), St. John’s MTC (Troy, MI), Kansas MTC (Olathe, KS), and the Minneapolis Congregation (MN). Achen also served as the Youth Chaplain of the Midwest Region (2016-2021).
Achen is married to Mrs. Neethi Prasad who is from Bangalore, Karnataka, where she was a member of the Primrose Mar Thoma Church. She is actively involved in children's ministry, Sunday School & VBS ministry, youth ministry, women's ministry, and the Native American Mission of the Diocese. She is currently serving as the Chair for the World Day of Prayer USA Board.
